Bringing awareness to the Drug epidemic
World Changers Empowerment Center Church we celebrated Red Ribbon Week, a time dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of living a drug-free lifestyle. With the support of FBSS and ASAP, we engaged in activities that promoted healthy choices and activities. We removed the stigma as it related to being Drug Free.

Community Love Day
Every year we look forward to giving back to our community. We prepare goody bags, non-perishable food items, and a hot lunch for anyone that attends our Community Love Day. Under the direction of our Evangelism Minister, Mary Ragland, we were able to serve the community by providing prayer, support, and fun food and games for kids.
World Changers takes on Atlanta!
World Changers Empowerment Center participated in the Mantle Conference in 2024, experiencing four days of transformative power that left a lasting impact on all attendees. The event featured a dynamic combination of singing, teaching, and prophetic words that inspired and uplifted all those that attended. From passionate worship sessions to insightful sessions led by anointed speakers, the atmosphere was charged with hope and empowerment. Our members left the conference feeling renewed in their faith and equipped to make a difference in their communities.
Transitioning to our new home!
In 2024, WCEC transitioned from 115 East 15th Street to Anniston Middle School to 1800 Wilmer Avenue (the old Triplett Paint Building). We definitely had our work cut out for us, but with the help of volunteers that gave their energy, money, and skills we were able to transform the building into something beautiful. The building is still a work in progress, and we will honor God every step of the way. By faith, we will own this building someday. By faith, people will continue to give to support our mission and vision. And by faith, we will be here to serve Anniston and surrounding communities.
Greenery was added and new lights.
Deacon Clarence Tucker offered his woodworking skills and built a pulpit.
Walls were painted by numerous volunteers. From tawny brown to a beautiful light grey, the new walls illuminated the entire building.

New Territory!
In the fall of 2023, World Changers Empowerment Center successfully acquired new land, marking a significant milestone for its mission to elevate community initiatives. This new space will serve as a foundation for future projects aimed at enhancing the quality of life for local residents. With a focus on sustainable development and community engagement, we plan to utilize this land for various programs and social services that cater to the diverse needs of the community. The purchase reflects World Changers' commitment to creating lasting positive impacts and fostering an inclusive environment for all.
Prayer in the park
In 2023, World Changers Empowerment Center actively engaged with the community in Anniston, Alabama, by holding prayer sessions in several local parks. These gatherings fostered a sense of unity and spiritual connection among WCEC intercessory prayer team members. Each meetup was a reminder that there is power in prayer.

Community Love Day
In 2022, World Changers Empowerment Center served the community of Anniston, Alabama, by organizing a Community Love Day centered around providing fresh food and nonperishable items to families in need. These initiatives not only ensured that nutritional support reached those facing food insecurity but also created an inviting atmosphere for families to come together. Children were included in fun activities such as games and crafts, making the events enjoyable and engaging for all ages. This holistic approach reinforced a sense of community and helped to bridge gaps, allowing individuals to connect with one another while addressing essential needs.
